QIS provides visitors with access to the most relevant governmental web sites related to the transportation of goods. The web sites included on this page are for the individual departments of all U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions that either govern or effect the daily operations of those in the transportation industry.

For each State or Province, links are provided to the departments that issue permits for Intrastate / Intraprovincial authority, oversize / overweight loads, and hazardous materials transportation. Motor Carriers will find information needed to apply for interstate / extraprovincial operations through the Single State Registration System (SSRS), the International Registration Plan (IRP), and register under the International Fuel Tax (IFTA) requirements.
